Philosophy of Care

My philosophy of care as a nurse practitioner is deeply rooted in compassion, advocacy, education, and partnership. Having a family member who experienced ovarian cancer gave me a personal understanding of the uncertainty and emotional impact that accompany a cancer diagnosis. That experience shaped the way I approach every patient encounter – with empathy, active listening, and a commitment to treating the whole person, not just the disease.

Personal

As a Wisconsin native, I fell in love with Minnesota after moving here for college. I moved to Nashville for my first nursing job, but couldn’t stay away from the Midwest for long, and moved back home to Minneapolis. I still cheer for the Packers, but love going to Gopher, Twins and Wild games. When I’m not working, I enjoy exploring restaurants and breweries, as well as travelling!
