Minnesota Oncology Celebrates Five Years in Mayo Clinic Care Network

St. Paul, Minn. (February 9, 2026) — Minnesota Oncology is celebrating its fifth anniversary as a member of Mayo Clinic Care Network, a select group of independent healthcare providers with exclusive access to Mayo Clinic’s clinical expertise and emerging technologies.

By leveraging Mayo Clinic’s innovative solutions and patient care support resources, care teams at Minnesota Oncology collaborate with Mayo Clinic specialists on complex cases, seek second opinions through eConsults, and access other point-of-care tools to support clinical decision making.

In addition to clinical support, staff and providers can participate in healthcare consulting projects, gain access to various continuing education opportunities, and tap into data-driven insights and digital solutions through Mayo Clinic Platform to drive meaningful change for patients in their communities.

“Celebrating five years as a member of the Mayo Clinic Care Network is a significant milestone for Minnesota Oncology,” said Paul Thurmes, M.D., President of Minnesota Oncology. “Over the past five years, we’ve seen firsthand the impact this collaboration has had on our patients and care teams. Access to Mayo Clinic’s expertise, knowledge, and resources has strengthened our ability to deliver exceptional, evidence-based cancer care close to home, particularly for patients with complex needs.”

Since joining the Mayo Clinic Care Network, Minnesota Oncology has participated in more than 700 eConsults and 350 eBoards and has leveraged Mayo Clinic’s educational and training resources to help improve patient outcomes.

“Minnesota Oncology is a well-established organization with an approach to cancer care that aligns with Mayo Clinic’s focus on patients,” says Mark V. Larson, M.D., Medical Director - Central Region, Mayo Clinic Platform. “We’ve valued the opportunity to collaborate on complex cases over the years and anticipate continuing this working relationship to benefit more patients in the Twin Cities going forward.”
