Minnesota Oncology Welcomes New Pharmacy Leadership

PharmacyKH.pngMinnesota Oncology is pleased to welcome Kirollos S. Hanna, PharmD, BCPS, BCOP, FACCC., as the new director of Minnesota Oncology’s pharmacy services, including the full-service on-site pharmacies at our Maplewood Cancer Center and Maple Grove clinic.

Dr. Hanna is board certified by the Board of Pharmacy Specialties in Oncology Pharmacy and Pharmacotherapy. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy from Florida A&M University, completed his general residency at St. Thomas Hospital, Nashville, TN and his oncology residency at St. Luke's Mountain States Tumor Institute, Boise, ID.

He is currently an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine. Dr. Hanna serves as an Associate Editor for the Journal of the Advanced Practitioner in Oncology (JADPRO).

Dr. Hanna’s research interests are focused on B-cell malignancies and genitourinary cancers. He has published over a dozen peer-reviewed manuscripts in various journals including Pharmacotherapy, AJHP, Drugs, JOPP, AJMC and JHOP.

Dr. Hanna is a recognized Fellow of the Association of Community Cancer Centers (ACCC) and a Board member of the National Community Oncology Dispensing Association (NCODA). He is also an active member of the Hematology/Oncology Pharmacy Association, the American College of Clinical Pharmacy, and the Advanced Practitioner Society for Hematology and Oncology.

 

PharmacyCB.pngMinnesota Oncology is also excited to welcome Clive Buruchara, Pharm.D., BCOP, as the Pharmacy Manager of our new Maple Grove Clinic.

Clive is a board-certified oncology pharmacist with more than 10 years of oncology pharmacy experience and 7 years of pharmacy management experience. He previously worked at M Health Fairview and the University of Texas Southwestern Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University Of Kansas in Lawrence KS. He also completed a PGY1 pharmacy residency program at M Health Fairview.

“I enjoy collaborating with healthcare team members to optimize the care of patients impacted by cancer. I am excited about my new role, and I am looking forward to the challenges and opportunities it will bring.”

Outside of work, Clive enjoys playing tennis, traveling, and spending time with his wife and four daughters (ages 10, 8, 6 and 5).

Minnesota Oncology has two Minnesota Cancer Care Pharmacy, located within our Maplewood and Maple Grove clinic locations.
