Twin Cities Live: Sisters Share Their Ovarian Cancer Journeys

September is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. In a recent Twin Cities Live segment, Minnesota Oncology patients Jeanne and Julie shared their experiences with ovarian cancer alongside gynecologic oncologist Dr. Adrianne Mallen.

During the interview, Jeanne and Julie discussed their diagnoses, treatment journeys and experiences with clinical trials. Dr. Mallen also discussed symptoms of ovarian cancer that can be easy to overlook, including bloating, feeling full and changes in bladder habits, and the importance of recognizing changes from your normal baseline.

Together, they shared the importance of awareness, understanding your family history and continuing research in ovarian cancer care.
